Privacy Policy

Nort Capital Performance Partners Inc. (“Nort Capital,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides tools that measure idle cash. This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect when you visit nortcapital.com or use our tools, why we collect it, how we handle it, and the choices you have.

By using the site or the service, you agree to the practices set out below. If you do not agree with them, please discontinue use of the site and the service.

1. Company Information

Nort Capital Performance Partners Inc., doing business as Nort Capital, is a corporation providing cash tracking and financial education tools. 2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Balances and buffers you enter yourself. The Idle Cash Calculator asks for the balances you hold and the liquid buffer you want to keep on hand. Entries made in the free calculator are processed to return your result and are not attached to an identity unless you choose to create an account.
• Read-only account data. If you subscribe to Nort Capital Watch and connect an account, we receive balance information, transaction records, and the interest rate reported for that account through a third-party aggregation provider. We receive this data on a read-only basis.
• Account information. For Nort Capital Watch we collect your name, email address, and login credentials, and we retain the history of your idle cash figure so the service can show change over time.
• Billing information. Subscription payments are processed by a third-party payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and a partial card identifier; we do not store full payment card numbers.
• Mobile number. If you opt in to SMS account notifications, we collect the mobile number you provide and a record of your consent.
• Device and usage data. We automatically collect technical information including IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and time spent on the site.
• Correspondence. When you contact us we retain the message, your contact details, and our response.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

• Calculate the amount of cash sitting above your stated buffer and the annual cost of leaving it in place.
• Monitor connected accounts for balance drift, rate changes, and uninvested settlement cash, and issue the alerts and quarterly reports you subscribed to receive.
• Create, authenticate, and administer your account, and process subscription billing and renewals.
• Respond to your support requests and communicate with you about your subscription.
• Send the account notification text messages you have opted in to receive, such as balance and rate alerts, quarterly report notices, security codes, and billing notices.
• Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the site and the service.
• Meet our legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not use your financial data to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. SMS Data Sharing and Privacy

When you opt in to receive SMS account notifications from Nort Capital, we collect your mobile phone number and maintain records of the messages we send. The following data-sharing restrictions apply specifically to our SMS messaging program:

• We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your phone number or any SMS opt-in data with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes.
• Your SMS consent and phone number are not shared with or disclosed to any third parties or affiliates for purposes unrelated to delivering the messages you requested.
• SMS data, including phone numbers, opt-in status, and message history, is used exclusively for the purpose of delivering the messages you have consented to receive.
• Third-party service providers who assist in delivering SMS messages on our behalf are contractually prohibited from using your data for any purpose other than message delivery.

This commitment applies regardless of any other data-sharing provisions described in this Privacy Policy. Your SMS data receives this heightened level of protection at all times.

5. Read-Only Financial Connections

Account connections used by Nort Capital Watch are established through a third-party aggregation provider and are read-only by design. Nort Capital cannot initiate transfers, payments, trades, or withdrawals, and does not request or hold the authority to do so.

Institution login credentials are entered with the aggregation provider and are not received, viewed, or stored by Nort Capital.

Account data we receive is used to produce your measurements, alerts, and reports, and for no other purpose.

You may disconnect any account at any time in your settings. On disconnection we stop receiving data for that account and delete the associated balance and transaction records from our active systems, retaining only the historical idle cash totals needed for your own trend view unless you ask us to remove those as well.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Apart from the SMS-specific restrictions in Section 4, we may share information in the following circumstances only:

• Service providers. Vendors performing work on our behalf — hosting, account aggregation, payment processing, email and message delivery, error monitoring, and analytics — receive only the data needed to perform that work and are contractually bound to protect it.
• Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, or other enforceable governmental request, or where necessary to protect our rights or the safety of others.
• Business transfers. If Nort Capital is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the protections described in this policy.
• Aggregated and anonymized data. We may publish or share data that has been aggregated and stripped of identifiers such that it cannot reasonably be linked back to you.

We do not display third-party advertising on the site, we do not share your data with advertisers, and we receive no compensation for referring you to any bank, fund, or financial product.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use a limited set of cookies and similar technologies:

• Essential cookies support core functionality such as session handling and authentication for subscribers.
• Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors move through the site so that we can improve it. Data collected through these cookies is aggregated.

You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent parts of the service from working. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Data Security

We apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards intended to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These include encryption of data in transit, encryption of sensitive fields at rest, access controls that limit employee access to a need-to-know basis, and routine review of our security practices.

No method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Data Retention

Entries made in the free Idle Cash Calculator are retained only as long as needed to return your result and to monitor the health of the service. Information tied to a Nort Capital Watch account is retained for as long as the account remains active.

If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove your personal information from our active systems within a reasonable period, except where a legal, accounting, or fraud-prevention obligation requires us to keep it. Aggregated and anonymized data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

• To request access to the personal information we hold about you.
• To request correction of information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• To request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements.
• To disconnect any linked financial account at any time from your settings.
• To opt out of SMS account notifications at any time by texting STOP to [INSERT SHORT CODE].
• To withdraw consent where consent is the basis on which we process your information.

11. Children’s Privacy

The service is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@nortcapital.com.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, our service, or applicable law. The current version is always posted on this page, and your continued use of the site after an update indicates acceptance of it. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
